The SADC Parliamentary Forum in partnership with the Southern Africa Resource Watch will be hosting a National training workshop for the Parliament of Zimbabwe from 6th -7th March in Harare. The SADC Parliamentary Forum approved, adopted and launched the Barometer towards the end of last year.
The training workshop is part of a series of trainings on the Barometer for Monitoring Mineral Resource Governance in Southern Africa that SARW and SADC-PF are planning to organize in all SADC Countries, targeting Members of Parliament and other Stakeholders where possible.
The objective of the trainings is to empower Parliaments in the region to independently undertake their oversight role more efficiently in the Resource Sector. The planned training Workshop in Zimbabwe will bring together at least 30 Members of Parliament and Staff.
